The Ghost has always been the quiet one in the Rolls-Royce family, the car for the collector who would rather be felt than heard. Series II does not raise its voice. It refines the whisper.

01 — The brief

An icon, recalibrated.

When Rolls-Royce retired the original Ghost, it was the best-selling model in the marque's 120-year history. Following it was less a design brief than a dare. The answer, Series II, is a study in confidence: the changes are deliberate, quiet, and almost entirely about feel.

The face is cleaner. The lighting is more precise. The surfaces are calmer. Nothing has been added for the sake of being seen to add. This is luxury that trusts the owner to notice, and to know the difference.

02 — The face

An architecture of light.

A 22-LED halo now traces the leading vanes of the Pantheon grille, lit softly enough to read as jewellery rather than signage. Below it, a wider lower intake gives Series II a more grounded, more modern stance.

Look closely and the detailing rewards you. Step back and it simply looks inevitable. Presence has never been about volume.

Spirit of Ecstasy
Spirit of Ecstasy
03 — The flying lady

Leaning into the wind.

She has led every Rolls-Royce since 1911, and she still sets the tone. Hand-finished and endlessly poised, the Spirit of Ecstasy is the one piece of theatre the Ghost permits itself.

Everything behind her is engineered to keep its composure, no matter the speed, no matter the road.

04 — The cabin

Travel beneath
your own night sky.

Specify the Starlight Headliner and the roof becomes a private planetarium: hundreds of fibre-optic lights, hand-woven into a pattern that is yours and no one else's. A shooting star, if you ask for one.

05 — Under the bonnet

The engineering of calm.

Serenity, in a Rolls-Royce, is not an accident of comfort. It is built. The 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 is tuned less for the numbers it can post than for the ones you never hear: at a cruise it turns over barely above idle, its torque delivered so early and so smoothly that speed arrives without announcement.

06 — The drive

The magic-carpet ride, re-engineered.

The Planar Suspension System reads the road before you meet it. A forward-facing camera scans the surface, a Flagbearer system primes the dampers, and Satellite Aided Transmission selects the right gear for a corner you have not yet entered.

The effect is the oldest Rolls-Royce promise, rebuilt with modern hardware. Motion without effort. Speed without drama.

Black Badge Ghost Series II
07 — After dark

The Ghost, with intent.

For those who find serenity occasionally too polite, Black Badge is the Ghost's alter ego. Chromework is darkened, the V12 is lifted to 600 PS and 900 Nm, and the character turns sharper and more nocturnal. Same composure, more intent.

The Ghost Series II is not a reinvention, and it was never meant to be. It is the most complete expression yet of a single idea: that the greatest luxury is to move through the world without the world intruding.
